We specialise in the sale of air compressors, parts, servicing, and refurbishment solutions, servicing a wide range of industrial clients. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a driven and results-oriented Sales Representative to expand our client base and grow revenue from both new and existing customers.
Role Overview
The Sales Representative will be responsible for sales and business development, focusing on generating new work and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
- Grow revenue through new client acquisition and increased work from existing clients.
- Conduct site visits to understand customer operational needs and recommend suitable air compressor solutions.
- Promote and sell air compressors, parts and servicing contracts.
- Prepare, present, and follow up on quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms in line with company policies.
- Maintain and actively manage a structured sales pipeline.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to promote the company’s products and services.
- Conduct basic market research on customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Represent Ntshu Air at industry trade shows, exhibitions, site visits, and networking events.
- Assist with social media and digital marketing efforts to support brand awareness and lead generation.
- Support the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers from initial enquiry through to post-sale follow-up.
- Provide accurate product information and high-level technical guidance to customers.
- Liaise closely with service and workshop teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Manage customer queries, complaints, and warranty-related matters professionally.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify repeat business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, quotations, and opportunities.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
- Work closely with internal teams (service, logistics, finance, and workshop) to ensure smooth operations and order fulfilment.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in industrial, technical, or engineering-related environments.
- Experience in the air compressor industry or similar technical fields will be a strong advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client visits.
